As for everyone else welcome!
I am a 20 something Saudi National, born and raised in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, you can say I am the Injun Joe of the Middle East, hailing paternally from a Khaliji tribe called Al-Kubaissi (AKA Al Qubaisi) that is prominent in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain and Iraq. As from my maternal side, I hail from the oldest existing capital in the world, Damascus.
My experience in the United States have truly changed my perspective on work, society and life. I began to understand what makes great nations great. I started valuing meritocratic societies and all of its capitalistic wonders, but it also made me value the building blocks that are developed in close-knit societies.
Most importantly studying in the United States gave me the gift of academia and the admiration of the scientific method of research and analysis. Everything became objectionable, there is nothing in this world that is not subject for criticism and objective analysis. The only way to affirm the truthfulness of any subject is to constantly attempt to disapprove it. Its not a cynical perspective, as much as it might seem on the surface, rather it's pure realism with a dash of optimism that one day I can find the truth in regards to matters of life.
